Aims:
a comprehensive foundation of practical skills and technical knowledge for effective multi-camera work in the studio to include how to frame, focus, operate and track a studio camera practical experience in a professional studio environment
Outline:
working safely in the studio how to get the best from a typical studio camera and lens camera rigging and mountings including fitting lenses and back-focus checks the technicalities of the camera system - implications of rigging mountings, tripods, pedestals framing and composition shooting an interview zooming and tracking lighting awareness moving to music
Outcome:
course members completing Module 1 will have sufficient expertise in basic camera operations to work confidently on simple programmes
Prerequisites:
This course is suitable for anyone wishing to move into a career as a television studio camera operator.
