Learn how to use Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to control and separate the appearance and content of a web pages.

Those who are already familiar with the process of creating web pages. A working knowledge of HTML is essential.
Outcome:
This course will train delegates to: Identify why style sheets should be used. Identify the difference between embedded style and linked Style sheets Identify different statements within a Style Sheet. Create a simple Style Sheet Use Style Sheets to format text and other page elements Use Style Sheets to position text/images on the page without using tables Use the inheritance within Style Sheets to create shorter style sheets Identify and use Contextual selectors Identify CLASS and ID selectors Create "roll-over buttons" using pseudo-classes and contextual selectors Use pseudo-elements to change the format of specific elements on the page, such as first-letter or first-line of a paragraph
Prerequisites:
Familiarity with creating web pages is essential. Attendance of the HTML 1 course or familiarity with HTML is essential.
