This course uses Photoshop CS4, the BBC standard version. Photoshop is the industry standard graphics editor, commonly used to prepare images for use on the Web and in other media. This introductory course will enable you to process images to be used on Web pages. These include photographs and simple montages

Anyone producing images for the Web or intranet
Outcome:
This course will train you to: Work with Photoshop editing tools and palettes Make colour and lighting corrections Resize and crop images Make basic selections with marquees, magic wand, magnetic lasso Work with Layers to create simple montages and graphics Use web safe colours when appropriate Use appropriate file formats Save images compressed for the Web
Prerequisites:
No prior knowledge of Photoshop required. Proficiency using Windows and the internet
