This two day workshop will cover all the essential skills of writing for the ear rather than for print - using clear story-telling, vivid imagery, and spoken English. It will combine clip analysis and examples of best practice from recent output with a number of intensive, practical exercises. Participants will be introduced to differing genre writing styles, from features to trails to news. The participants will write short radio talks, links and trails, learning how to write for the voice and to edit a script to make it listener-friendly.
Who it's for:
People who are new to radio, BAs, APs, and those with production, presenting or reporting experience who want to improve and develop their scriptwriting skills. To take part in this course, it is essential that you are able to speak, understand and write English fluently.
