Anyone who completes all eight modules will have all the information and skills necessary to be assessed for the IOSH Safety at Work Certification, an essential measure of your company's commitment to occupational health and safety. Health & Safety at Work is a highly interactive course that is designed for self-study on a PC. The content is delivered on CD-ROM and only takes a few minutes to install.
You will find that the course is divided into eight separate self-study modules, comprising:
- Fire - including fire extinguisher training by the London Fire Brigade
- Office Safety - good housekeeping, electricity
- Display Screen Equipment - using computers and VDUs, RSI and posture problems
- Lifting and Carrying - safe-lifting techniques
- Hazardous Substances - dealing with solvents and cleaning products
- Driving - including fatigue and mobile phone use
- Other Risks - dangerous equipment, moving vehicles, ladders and heights
- Security - psychological and physical self-defence
Each of the eight modules has its own quiz and you can track scores throughout the program. Trainees will find the interface bright and modern, with simple, intuitive navigations.
